LLATL was first written 25 years ago when the daily use of card catalogues, encyclopedia’s and phone books were the norm. The new 3rd editions have been updated to reflect changes in the world and society around us. Also, because the books were written by two different authors over the span of four or five years, changes have been made to make the books more consistent and even easier to use.
