The ministry of encouragement is one of the most neglected today in our society. Most of us live in a climate of criticism, competition, and conflict. For many of us, a kind word or sincere compliment from someone else is rare.
Unfortunately, that same spirit has found its way into the lives of many Christians, their families, even their churches. Without realizing it, many believers have become like the Children of Israel who were constantly complaining and murmuring.
In contrast, Jesus has come to us with a spirit of love, compassion, and encouragement. That is the true spirit of Jesus and it is the spirit which He desires for His children to enjoy, all of us who follow Him as Savior and Lord!
Lareau has been faithful in following the Lord into a unusual, and strategic, ministry of encouraging others. For over a decade, he and his wife, Evie, have given themselves to the ministry of encouragement around the world. They spend their lives traveling to the most remote parts of the world to inspire and edify pastors, missionaries, and other servants of Jesus Christ.
